Encrypted backup

Everything you have logged, encrypted on this device with a passphrase only you know, then handed to the share sheet so you choose where it goes. Nothing is uploaded by this app, and there is no copy anywhere else: if you lose both the file and the passphrase, nobody can recover it, including us.

A backup holds your entries and your settings. Photos attached to a test are not in it yet; they stay on the device they were added to.

Import from Apple Health

Reads your State of Mind log from the Health app and adds each day as a mood entry here. The last two years. Read once, then stored encrypted like everything else; nothing is written back and nothing is sent anywhere. Days that already have a mood here are left as they are.

iOS asks first. State of Mind needs iOS 18 or later. You can change access any time under Settings > Health > Data Access.

About

KeepAlcove never sends your data anywhere. Everything you log is encrypted on this device with a key built from your PIN. No account, no cloud, no ads, nothing sold, ever.

Privacy Policy

Testing reminders

Medication reminders

Vaccines and checkups

Log the last dose and KeepAlcove works out when the next one is due and reminds you a week ahead. Intervals follow the CDC adult schedule; your clinician's plan wins, so edit the date to match.

Remind me

Hormone therapy

Track hormone therapy
Estrogen, testosterone, blockers like spironolactone, and anything else on your regimen. Off by default; nothing here shows until you turn it on.

Upgrade

KeepAlcove Pro

Cancel anytime. Your core data stays free and private forever, Pro just unlocks more.

Your data is not the product. The PIN, the encryption, the logging and a full export of everything you've entered stay free permanently. You never have to pay to get your own information out. Pro adds reminders, a summary for appointments and vaccine tracking, the parts that take ongoing work to keep running. Your backup is free, because a safety net behind a paywall is not a safety net.

Loading plans...

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Manage or cancel in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Nothing about your data changes with Pro, or without it. It stays on your phone, encrypted, either way. Cancel and you keep every entry, every course, every export; only the Pro features switch off. There is no account to close and nothing of yours on our side to delete.

Tell a Partner to Get Tested

You send this, not us. KeepAlcove writes the message and hands it to your phone. You choose who gets it and which app to use. We never see the number, never store it, and never send anything on your behalf.

Only for your own reference. Their name is never in the message, and you can send without choosing one.

No name, no date, no test result, nothing about what happened. Just the suggestion and a link to free testing.

Your own disguise

Apple doesn't let an app change its own name or use one of your photos as its icon. Any app that does it is using private APIs and gets pulled from the App Store. What is supported is a Shortcut: a home screen tile you make yourself, with any name and any photo, that opens this app. It behaves like an app icon, and it's yours.
1
Open the Shortcuts app
It's built into iOS. If you deleted it, it's a free re-download from the App Store.
2
Make a new Shortcut
Tap + in the top right, then Add Action. Search for Open URL and pick it.
3
Point it at this app
In the URL field, type exactly: keepalcove://. That's what opens this app.
4
Name it whatever you want
Tap the shortcut's name at the top and rename it to "Notes", "Water", your own initials, anything. This is the name that will show on your home screen.
5
Add it to your home screen
Tap the share icon, then Add to Home Screen. On that screen, tap the icon thumbnail to the left of the name, then choose Choose Photo and use any picture in your library.
6
Hide the real one
Press and hold this app's actual icon, choose Remove App, then Remove from Home Screen. It stays installed in your App Library, and only your Shortcut is visible.
Worth knowing: opening the app this way flashes the Shortcuts banner at the top of the screen for a moment. And anyone searching the App Library or Settings can still find the real app. This hides it from a glance at your home screen, not from someone deliberately looking.
